Spring Tennis Program

The Little Compton Education Foundation has once again funded a request to run a tennis program for grades 6, 7, and 8 during the Spring of 2012.

There will be 12 sessions, each from 3 pm to 5 pm beginning on April 9th .  The sessions will be held on Monday and Wednesday afternoons on the tennis courts (weather permitting) or in the gym if numbers allow.  The instructor will be Mr. MacGregor. He will be assisted by Raymo Czapski and Adian Lippert.

If you are interested, please see Mrs. Kiernan for a permission slip and return it by Tuesday,  April 3rd.

Thanks!!!

Thanks to everyone who participated in hat day!!  We raised $380 for teams, “Phil’s Phans” and “Queen Bees”, that will be participating in Relay for Life this weekend. Great job everyone!! Thanks again for your support and generosity.  It is greatly appreciated and will go far in the fight against cancer.

Relay for Life

 

DRESS DOWN TO FIGHT CANCER

Our dress down day this month (5/20)  is “Hat Day” benefiting Relay for Life.  For a donation of  $1, students will be able to wear their favorite hat to school. We have two teams of students and parents who will be participating this weekend in Relay for Life.  The teams are Phil’s Phans and Queen Bees.  All proceeds will be split between the two teams. Please help support this very worthy cause.

P.E. and Health

The physical education program at Wilbur McMahon is one of variety.  Students experience team and individual sports, as well as physical fitness and cardiovascular activities.  The major goal of our program is to ensure a positive experience while promoting the importance of physical activity, resulting in the desire to continue exercise throughout the students’ lifetime.  Positive attitude, appropriate behavior, and respect for self and others are expected and reinforced.

Please remember to have appropriate footwear for class.

Grades K, 1, 4, 6 and 8 meet Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays

Grades 2, 3, 5, and 7 meet Tuesdays and Thursdays
